Sean Cunningham, PE, PC, led by its esteemed president Sean P. Cunningham, stands as a paragon of excellence in structural stability and analysis. Founded in 2000, the company benefits from Mr. Cunningham's over 30 years of professional engineering experience. Sean Cunningham, PE, PC is renowned for its dedication to structural integrity and innovative engineering solutions.​
Before establishing his firm, Mr. Cunningham honed his expertise at Mason Industries Inc. from 1987 to 2020 and as the chief engineer at Seismic Design from 1991 to 1995. His distinguished career includes receiving the 10 Years of Excellence award from Mason Industries in 2005 and active membership in the Structural Engineers Association of New York.​
Mr. Cunningham's academic credentials include an associate degree in engineering science from Nassau Community College (1985) and a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (1987). His qualifications are further solidified by his Professional Engineer License in multiple states, including New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, Massachusetts, Maine, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Texas, and Alaska.​

Meet The Team

President
Sean
Sean brings over 35 years of industry expertise and a wealth of experience to our team. Licensed in 14 states, he received his BSME from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and has worked on many high-profile projects in New York City and abroad including the World Trade Center, Yankee Stadium, the new Moynihan Station in NYC, the Eric Carle Museum, and remodeling projects for a few celebrity clients (for which he has signed NDAs and cannot disclose). His areas of expertise are Structural Engineering, including seismic bracing of nonstructural components, stone anchorage, and pipe stress analysis. Sean is also an accomplished musician (drums, guitar) and swimmer. He is married with 2 adult children, and 2 adorable grandchildren whom he spoils with abandon.

Engineering Intern - Summer 2024
Domenick
Domenick Anderson is an Engineering Intern pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering at SUNY University at Buffalo. With experience in both carpentry apprenticeship and engineering, he offers a unique blend of practical skills and technical expertise. At Vitamin Greens Inc, Domenick contributed to developing mechanical components for an Ophthalmology-focused app, showcasing his ability to collaborate across disciplines and solve real-world challenges. Proficient in Solidworks, Autocad, gas dynamics, and space missions/controls, Domenick is passionate about applying his knowledge to aerospace engineering projects. Beyond academics, he enjoys reading and snowboarding. His interest in aerospace engineering began with playing Halo as a kid, sparking his fascination with space and technology.

Cris
Cris C. has over 30 years of experience as an event planner and brings her discerning eye for detail and logistical knowledge to our team. She holds a BA from the University of Delaware and an MS in Psychology. Cris is responsible for the daily administrative and human resource functions of our firm, including the screening and hiring of our summer interns. Occasionally, she surprises us with unexpected company outings or in-house parties, which are always a big hit. Cris is married with 2 adult children and 2 grandchildren who, in her eyes, are the cutest babies in the world and can do no wrong.
